A world of opportunity
The impact of Coventry University spans far beyond its city and local community. We are widely recognised for our global outlook and the diversity and richness this brings. Internationalisation runs through our courses, our curriculum and our culture.
Every single student is given the support to find international experiences through internships with global companies, opportunities to study abroad, language development and volunteering programmes. These opportunities make Coventry students stand out as being ready for a global career. Our unique Global Leaders Programme has been designed to develop graduates into future world leaders. Members of the programme expand their skills through advanced workshops, global networking, international experience and exposure to industry leaders.
We have partnerships with academic institutions around the world, giving international students the opportunity to study a Coventry University qualification in their own country. In 2015, we were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of the most coveted accolades in UK business, in recognition of our international growth and success. We are one of only a select few higher education institutions to receive this award.
Coventry University was commended in the international trade category in recognition of our ‘continuous achievement’ since 2009 in growing and supporting our international student population in the UK and overseas.
We draw students from over 150 different nations – making us one of the top ten UK universities for the size of our international population. We operate teaching programmes abroad for over 12,000 students at 14 different locations. The award also recognises the positive contribution that our subsidiary company Coventry University Enterprises has made to our international operations, as well as the University’s research programmes.
